S'ppose not... I'm suspicious now, though.

Of course, there's the question of whether we ever go back to the office, innit? Our company is almost wholly Zoomtastic now and all of our systems are run remotely. Apart from a few wholly unnecessary jollies there should be no need to visit clients either. I'm hoping for a trip to the Crossrail hole or Hinkley C power station. No need of course, but a nice run ashore. Yeah. I’m hearing of more than a few companies who’ve explicitly decided to tell staff that they’re not returning to the office in 2021 - which at least makes planning easier for employees. And I think business travel is f**k*d for years, now that companies have realised it’s a total waste of cash and everything can be done remotely. All those hotels right next to business parks are going to be properly screwed.

Can't be Princess Anne, she didn't tell you to piss off. My Dad says she's very pleasant. She used to fly into Turnhouse a lot and she was always worried if she arrived before Charles as he would get the arse if she landed first. There was a protocol thing about that he observed and she was pretty contemptuous of.

Charles is up his own arse, as well. Saying that, I think Brenda should retire and let him have a go.

“ According to research published by Benham and Reeves on Thursday (February 4), prices of Tube-adjacent properties across London dropped by two per cent - from an average of £655,017 before the pandemic to £642,674.” So it looks like Croydon it is.

In Van's defence, literally everybody I knew who owned any property in London basically said "I bought a tiny shithole in the shittiest part of the city as my first property in London because that's the only way to get on the ladder".
Of course, they bought a smallish place in Islington or Ladbroke Grove for about 50k and then were insufferably smug about how well they'd done, and it's impossible for anyone earning the equivalent of what they used to earn to buy anything now. But London continues to have very restricted supply of property and there still seems to be high demand, and all the crappy areas are still gentrifying, so the crappy areas are moving further and further out.
So the principle remains - if you want to get property in London, you have to be willing to suck up something horrible to start with. *
* or be a Russian oil billionaire.

This!
Literally everybody I know, who did not have rich parents did this*. Actually one friend brought in Angel but she spent an obscene amount on a crappy place in a crappy building and spent a lot to do it up.
One other bought in Deptford which is still not the best location and she was only able to do that with a redundancy pay out from UBS (and she is frugal as hell.)
Buying in a sh*t part of London as a first step is normal.
*If you are a good drug dealer or land the right type of glamour modelling / sex work you may also be able to skip the first step of having a crappy property.

I see Zara Tindall's old man's getting furlough for his company.

Well, if it's for his company then that's fair play. Why shouldn't he get the same as every other company?

Oh, of course it's 'fair play' getting taxpayers' money to fund a company belonging to royal family members which promotes royal family members (Harry and Meghan). Couldn't agree with you more. It's very British.

You haven't explained why Mike Tindall's employees should be endangered or impoverished.
