Poor family. I expect they scrimped and saved to send their boy to a decent school, so he had the best of starts.

I am always impressed (and slightly disappointed) that the press no longer speculate about the identity of perps in cases such as the Hainault Hacker. I guess it's Ofcom that sets the rules. This story is starting to sound less random now. Dunno, but there are a few things that make me wonder why matey chose to crash into that house. He seems to have been running around slashing at people randomly though. And asking if people “believe in god” sounds weird af. Maybe that's the link to the family, who are said to be churchy. It would be terrible if it was someone they had been helping.

I wonder what the father is a doctor of. H&S? Theology?

It’s weird that none of the articles I have read so far have linked this to knife crime in London or a slasher style terror attack.
Odd.
Edit: oh the Daily Mail has. Well done.

I just drove by Bancroft & there are lots of journos & photographers waiting outside for the kids to leave….word is that one of the PCs might lose her hand or the use thereof …🙁 Oh that’s pretty awful! Poor woman.

Why? Because he went to private school…..?

Actually, because it was measured. No claims of "the next Christopher Wren" or "Murdered Michelangelo of Croydon" etc.

Why? Because he went to private school…..? Partly. He was probably brought up in a household that valued education, hard work and resilience and would have gone on to lead a decent life.

So we're finally accepting that kids who go to posh schools are underachievers who aren't going to be the next Christopher Wren?

But not the house crashed into. And the description suggests he was just walking along when struck with the sword as the mad man continued his rampage.

Partly. Given his parents' jobs, they probably had to work hard and make sacrifices to get him there, although relatives may have contributed. Plus there's an entrance exam so he'd had to have worked a bit to get in. Odd that you're determined to make out he was some sort of wannabe rapper scum.

A man's been charged. He sounds a bit, I dunno, foreign?
"Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, has been charged over the death of the schoolboy, who was killed during a rampage in east London on Tuesday."

Interesting how much pressure there is to limit taser use.
