As far as I know, no one has been banned from here, and I think I would know. Very little moderating has taken place, in fact it really hasn't needed much intervention. Some bullies will persist, but I find a swift PM is better than an onsite confrontation. Even then, I have pulled up only a couple on that. Those that have walked will probably come back, maybe in another guise, some just get hectic lives now and then with little time to come and post, and others get bored with it all and just move on. These places are always ebbing and flowing, busy or dead. If it's slow now, it will pick up again before too long, we still have one of the best sites here for all that!

Well I'm neither a rightie or a lefty. To say that the left oppose the miltary sounds ridiculous-they usually adulate their military. The military are ok, we all need them. That's different to being gung ho in my view. I am fed up with the 'utopia', left or right which we are being accorded at the moment. No smoking anywhere in the grounds of hospitals. No tea making facilities for diabetics etc. No-one willing to address me as a married woman, except for the companies I deal with. My middle class/ working class life is being re-arranged. My husband who works hard and takes very little himself has his life threatened. If I could I'd leave this sh8te hole, but I have to stay. Yours extraordinarily pissed off. [waits for the scoffers]

He works in the city. It was a bit of a fraught week last week. I don't expect pity because we do alright otherwise. We don't run a car or have many holidays mainly because we are a bit stretched, at the moment. Still, he isn't a greedy person and supports everyone in our daily life around us. I just felt a bit stressed out that's all.

I don't even hate the protestors and I was sad that someone died and that many felt let down.

Might I add that whilst my husband is a gentleman, I am not. He wouldn't even raise his hand, but I would slit the throat of anyone who so much looked at my family the wrong way.

Many of us feel that way Icas. I know I did when the Mohammed cartoon protesters were marching with placards threatening the lives of westerners while our police stood by protecting them.

Well lily,it's just my little bit of fun, like burning effigies dontcha know. We all like to join in the fun of the occasion. It brings a sense of togetherness with northern, lazy, indolent, workshy cunts in the vicinity.

I was at a wedding in Paris, and just got back. And for a couple of weeks before that I was in South Africa. That's my excuse.
Well, that and the fact that the meta-news is insufferably dull, with the only theses that seem to be propounded on these boards are
(a) islam will kill us all (b) tym 4 clknu 2 go (c) britain is horribly in debt and we're all going to die in miserable penury (d) the israelis are having a genocide in palestine (e) the palestinians are having a genocide in israel
And, after a while, it just begins to get a little dry. and repetetive.

Why is it that c.u.n.t.s gets through the barrier while t.w.a.t.s. is replaced with 'Thingy' ?

Can't say I'd noticed, they are words I rarely use, here or in everyday speech.

Nor do I Scooby. I'd be castrated by my wife if I swore at home & banned from my local pub if I used offensive language there. I was just trying to join the 'In Crowd' by being 'cool' & 'with it' ........... I failed didn't I

I'm definitely not cool in any way. My ancestors all came from art t' country; -bumpkins they were and they all moved to the smokey big city, and their descendents all moved back out art 't country again.

"I wear loads of bling and clothes from Dorothy Perkins and Sainsbury's"
That's another thing I've never understood. Clothes are only worn to protect your body from the elements (rain, snow, wind etc) Why spend a fortune on unnecessary clothing when you could be more comfortable nude Skin always fits, it doesn't go out of fashion and it drip dries !
Plus - you save a fortune on laundry bills.
