Star destroys its planet (video) "Astronomers witnessed a dying star swell up and absorb a Jupiter-sized planet. As the star neared the end of its life, it grew in size, shrinking the gap with its neighboring planet before consuming it entirely." earthsky.org/space/star-destroys-its-planet-earths-future/

Vega is a bright bluish star on May eveningsearthsky.org/brightest-stars/vega-brilliant-blue-white-is-third-brightest-star/"The 3 brightest stars in this image make up the asterism of the Summer Triangle, a giant triangle in the sky composed of the bright stars Vega (top left), Altair (lower middle) and Deneb (far left). Also in this image, under a dark sky and on a moonless night, is the Great Rift that passes right through the Summer Triangle."

the Triangle is highest in the sky in July-August evenings,,,directly overhead. at mid june it should be rising in the east after the sun goes down.

I live in a dark skies reserve, so light pollution is controlled. The skies are dark at night.

Omega Centauri is our Milky Way's largest star cluster"The Beehive - where Mars is now - is what's called an open star cluster. It contains maybe 1,000 stars. But Omega Centauri, the largest globular star cluster of the Milky Way, contains about 10 million stars. This behemoth, with a diameter of about 160 light-years, is 10 times more massive than a typical globular cluster. It’s easily seen from the Southern Hemisphere and even visible from the southern half of the United States in the late evenings of May and June." earthsky.org/clusters-nebulae-galaxies/omega-centauri-milky-ways-prize-star-cluster/
