Dunno but they definitely do pairs. Two coyotes killed a hiker in Nova Scotia a few years ago. I don't know if they were a mated pair or they'd just teamed up. Are you saying that the "backpacker" was double-teamed? Sounds like it. It was a bit of a shock to Nova Scotians (my brother lives there) as coyotes rarely attack humans, pretty much never kill humans and Nova Scotia is fairly tame by Canadian standards.

Personally I find packy jokes offensive.

Living in San Diego I'd occasionally hear packs of coyotes celebrating a kill, all the howling in the canyons. But when I saw coyotes they were also alone (and usually a bit scraggly and sad looking). Maybe they hunt in packs but scavenge solo?

As I understand it, they usually only maul unprotected kids. Coyotes are much the same.

Red star? Or rusty sheriff's badge? Don't get it. Rusty sheriff's badge = bumhole. Red Star Belgrade is a football team but could also be an injured bumhole. Bit gay, I suppose.

Did your dog chase the bear? He was on a lead luckily or he certainly would have tried. You often see bears wandering down the street here with the occasional dog barking and dancing round em, the bears don't give a fcuk and keep wandering along. Dogs are nothing to them I suppose, just an annoyance.

You see lots of single or pairs of coyotes here, usually at dawn or dusk, they eat lots of cats and the occasional dog, but really bother people. Very really you might see a pack crossing in a long line, but I think in 15 years here I've seen this only a couple of times. You hear them more than see them in such numbers.

Do they often get hit by falling anvils?

Now he's an integral part of a bear.
"Staff Sgt Plant was an integral part of our organisation," his commander, Lt Col David Nelson, said in a statement on Thursday."

"From the soldier's perspective, there was a flash of brown mass," Capt Derek DeGraaf told the newspaper."
I'm sure I would have been frightened too.
