4) Can strings that I visited on the current session appear in a different shade or colour, on the list?
My screen also displays a little box with 'NEW' in it when a thread has a new post that I haven't read yet.

"As Rick has already pointed out - If a thread runs to more than one page the numbers are listed under the thread title. Just open the page number you want to read (a bit like reading a book) "
thats what i do, just look for the tiny page number, and click on the last number

No, it's under the thread title. Yes, thank you. I now see it. I was probably logged out automatically after the 6 hours from when I last logged in. 'guests', I suppose, are not given that option....

Aye, latest posts when opening a thread please and not the current situation where I have to open a thread, go to page 2 and then refresh the page to get the latest posts.
Too many clicks, could attract unwanted attention, is frustrating and might force me away.

Oh and also the latest situation to be presented when I leave a thread and go back to the main index. I click on 'News General' and get taken to the index as it was before I entered a thread. Means I need to keep refreshing and I don't want to be doing that.

That's 'cos the last post is at the bottom of the page.
Just click 'End' on your keyboard to scroll to the bottom.

Some things just work a bit differently here. We will get used to the differences, this board doesn't need to be an exact copy of what we had before. So many things are better here than over at the MSN.
I already like our new board a lot!

In fact I just did it and was taken to page 1 instead.
Forum Jump does take me back to the main index but again, it isn't to the latest page with the latest comments showing. Seems a bit odd

Still, as Amazed says, it only needs a little adaption on our part which shouldn't be too hard

I think we're going to learn new stuff about this forum every day, i know i do. It will all get easier with time and experimenting! Anywhere new is a bit daunting to start with - i think it's gonna be great here!
