I have to say that I am tiring of the way that serious discussions on NEWS frequently degenerate into in-joke heavy nonsense or personal insults in place of argument and debate.
It is a pity as the range of contributors, our varied experiences, backgrounds and viewpoints could actually shine new light on things.

As Cathy so rightly said, we all have busy lives away from the forum and this should be a place for discussion and release from the stresses and strains of modern life. It's a shame that some people tend to get really heated and take things so personally, which only results in making things difficult for everyone else. Sushi did a fantastic job, is a lovely person, and was great to me when i first joined the forum, as was Cathy. It's tough being a Mod, sometimes too tough! I hope Sushi comes back and the forum continues but in a more light-hearted vein where we all respect each other's views and adhere to the guidelines. ;D
