I regularly leave seats for people more in need than me.
If Corbyn was in a seat while a mum with her two kids sat on the floor, then it would have been right to eviscerate him.

If mids had bothered to read on: The filmmaker said there were a number of other passengers sitting on the floor during the initial part of the trip. “We filmed Jeremy Corbyn at 11.30am, sat at the front of the train. There were many other people sat on the floor during that journey.
“After the video was shot we managed to get a seat at around 11.40am, because Virgin staff moved people around the train, but other people were unable to get a seat.”
Virgin’s version was contradicted by a woman who said she had also sat on the floor of the train next to Corbyn, having sent a social media photo of herself and her daughter with the Labour leader.
Ellen – who asked to not be fully named – told the Guardian that Corbyn had seemingly gone through the entire standard-class section of the train but had not been able to find a seat. The 26-year-old, who was with her one-year-old daughter and son, aged six, said she had similarly been unable to find seats.
“He’s not lying,” she said. “When I saw him he was in coach A, right at the front. He hadn’t managed to find a seat in the whole of the train. I was sat on the floor, there was no space for me to get a seat. There were people in every space between every carriage. It was totally overcrowded. They were full of bags and full of people.” Though if the Virgin conception of events turns out to be correct, Corbyn should be roasted. This sort of Blairite spin and lies is exactly what he isn't meant to do. And over something as crappy as train seats. The woman doesn't contradict the truth. He did sit on the floor. After having walked past dozens of empty seats.

Who to believe? Beardy Branson or Beardy Corbyn? The ducking stool for both of them. That's the way forward.

You know how time works, yeah? Some bits of it are before other bits of it, and you can't change that, unless you are Doctor Who. You probably think he's real, mind you. That was filmed at 11.45, apparently some time AFTER the 'floored' film was made. It seems Virgin upgraded people to first class to free up seats for those on the floor. Of course, you aren't interested in this aspect, as you're a yowling propagandist. EDIT - Soz, thought mids was referring to the later Virgin film, not the photos from 11.10.

No, Virgin are clearly stating, using time stamped cctv, that he walked past empty seats to get to his film set.

oh well the ones in the video must have been eddied to look empty then, I suppose that must be the case as St Corbyn would never do a cheep political stunt to make a trite point, obviously....

Looking at the photo released, I saw one (top left) that might not have been reserved. Apparently there were seats unoccupied by which had people's gear on them. People present have said his version of events is accurate (or accurate -ish - 'ram packed' is probably taking it a bit too far); yet you immediately accept the anti-Corbyn propaganda put out by mids and Branson. You still believe the 'Dodgy Dossier' was true, don't you?

It's a kinder, gentler lie though.

Corbyn clearly set this up. He's been caught out, and now his position is even more untenable.

The 'ones in the video' are from later in the journey, when people ha been upgraded to free some seats. The 11.10 photo shows what appear to be empty unreserved seats but it is not obvious if they are occupied by children or if there is gear on them, or people are holding them for others. "Sorry, Mr Corbyn, my bird's just gone to the lav, she's sitting here." It might have been possible for him to find a seat there, but it isn't certain. In the 11.11 photo, there is possibly one seat I can see that is not reserved. The later images are after the film has been shot and staff had apparently moved some passengers up to first class and freed up unclaimed seats. Other people on the train have corroborated Corbyn's version of events. Why do you immediately accept the Virgin version of events without any reservations (pun intentional)?

Dwarves. People are tweeting that the train was packed with dwarves that you couldn't see over the seat backs.

Mids demonstrates a Blairite use of sources.
Dwarves are unlikely. Children are a bit more possible.
It is also possible they went down the train, hoping to find an adjacent pair, were unsuccessful, then found the singles were taken when they went back for them.
It is odd that Virgin saw fit to release video of him sitting down at 11.45, but not of the carriage at 11.11. Wonder why they might have done that?

My last trip to the UK I had to sit on the floor from Birmingham to Wakefield. Not enough seats in 2nd, an abundance in first. Reminded me why I hated the UK train system.

I believe Corbyn.
Purely because it has to be a lie that any Virgin service has "lots" of free seats in standard class. This I have never seen!
