I have to admit to not really understanding American politics but who are these two goons? She should never appear on TV - she is one of the least charismatic politicians I've ever seen and has some of the flattest delivery (and it seems she has literally no sense of humour). She is - they say - absolutely f**k**g brilliant at the whipping stuff, at keeping her caucus together, at the bullying and flattery, and the counting votes, and all not getting people to turn, at all the inside-politics politicking. Which is why she has her job. But they should never make her the public face. She managed to make Trump's flat, dreary speech seem relatively lively in comparison.

It's almost going to go unnoticed given all the noise around Trump, but yesterday's report from Buzzfeed is, if there's actual evidence, an absolute stonker. To the point that Trump might be in actual, real legal sh*t, that it's no longer something that can just be pinned on the corrupt and incompetent grifters that he's surrounded himself with.

It remains a big if, but if Mueller does have evidence that Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress about the Trump organisation's links to Russia, that's suborning perjury and even Trump's own pick for Attorney General reckons that's properly illegal.

Well, the media doesn't have proof, does it. Mueller's the one who might.

I always thought that parts of the left's desperation for Mueller to have the magic bullet was pathetic, but recent revelations showing direct links between the Trump campaign and Russian FSB operatives has made me think there might be more to the story than just Trump being a bit of an idiot and surrounding himself with grifters and morons.
