She'll be able to dine out on that catch for the rest of her life.

Yeah, they're going to have to stop those curry nights at the Institute of Directors. It's not a proper club anyway.

I don't get it. Why did she catch it then throw it up in the air and catch it again?

She she wouldn't concede a six, I think. Also, I don't think you can be caught out beyond the boundary.
Dunno. Bit vague on cricket. I played sport in the summer at school.

If any part of your body is on the ground over the boundary when you take the catch it is not a catch it's a six.
So, as she realised she might touch the ground over the boundary she threw the ball in the air and then made a legal catch inside the boundary.

Yeah. Basically at no point was she on the ground outside the boundary while touching the ball. She was outside the boundary and touching the ball in the air twice.

Stokes has just announced he's quitting all cricket effective immediately
No doubt our resident mental health experts will be saying all he needs to do is harden the fcuk up, be a man and get on with it.

Is boredom a mental health issue? Perhaps he should take up a sport.

I suspect we are going to lose but everything that is great about Test cricket is on display and every outcome still on the cards.

Looks like England are doing a good job of playing out the draw.

It's a shame. All results were possible - would have been a great day's play.

WKC must be a happy boy today. England still behind but much, much closer than I would have predicted yesterday lunchtime.

WKC here just back from Lord's.
I have just one thing to say and that is: ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!
I've been at Lord's Thursday; Friday and today - and shall be there tomorrow and hopefully Monday.
The place is rammed.
Very minor point - The MCC have been a bit jobs worthy - limited numbers in the Pavilion - cloakroom shut for no good reason - mad dash to get to the (members only) top of the Alan Stand - which ends up far worse than if they had just opened the pavilion as normal.
still...mustn't crumble.
