The minute's silence is fair enought but I do sincerely believe that we should keep the eleventh hour and "For the Fallen" for The Fallen rather than for the murdered and the unlucky.

I genuinely see no issue attending a religious service if you're not particular religious. I have done so and am about as religious as Dawkins and not even a politician.

I heard this at the minute's silence for tfhe fire victims held at eleven o'clock today: "They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." I felt physically sick. Talk about appropriation. Is that true? The former , not the latter |

- K&C council has been Tory since 1964

- Sadiq Khan has NEVER been housing minister and the report he commissioned into Fire service funding said that further cuts must not happen, not that the Fire service didn't need more funding.
- Reports blame Ed Miliband for approving the cladding, which as he was never PM or in any jurisdiction over this doesn't make sense. The cladding was approved only for use up to 32ft high. Tory K&C council approved it for 220ft tower block.
- The new Labour MP, Emma Dent Coad, was on the council planning committee in a council with 42 Tory, just 7 Labour and one Lib Dem councillor, from 2009 to 2012, when these plans were passed in 2014.
Whatever lies the Right fabricate, they cannot lie their way out of the fact that THEY ALONE are responsible for the cuts in services, cuts in funding and cuts in fire safety checks that led DIRECTLY to this dreadful fire.
Their Mayor, Boris Johnson, is on film telling the London Assembly to "get stuffed" when they tell him his fire cuts will be damaging to London and that he is lying to Londoners.

So according to the guardian, large numbers of victims will never be identified due to the large amount of illegal sub letting and precarious immigration status of many of the tenants. Still, this Khan's definition of a 'global city' so it's all good!
