As for that Atlantic article about the Eclipse that's getting mocked, it seems like the complainer is a complete dolt and moron. The Atlantic isn't complaining about the Eclipse path. It's using the Eclipse path as an entry point to explain the nature of how America has become segregated. But it seems like the Daily Caller is manned by rampaging idiots who don't understand how to write and essay and construct an argument. I've only read the first third of the article (my bet is that the Caller hasn't read all of it, given that the author is complaining that it's too long for his feeble, pathetic brain), but it's actually pretty good and fairly interesting.

The trees should not be there. They are non-native. More importantly, Tamarisk trees consume huge amounts of water. There's no reason to leave the trees there.
But ironically, in fact they are mostly being removed not for sound environmental reasons, but for good old-fashioned right-wing reasons which is that they are lowering house prices by blocking views, and real estate agents are complaining about it.

Rick's continuous list of "Oh my god! The snowflakes are complaining about the silliest things!" articles are hilarious because they almost always completely miss the point.

I don't get how you can so imbecilic as to think any of the crap you post is in anyway credible, as has been said its mostly nonsense and misses the whole point, just some lunatic spinning something innocuous into something partisan for idiotic reasons.

look I know you troll the net looking for idiotic things the odd idiot has said and posting it as proof you are correct is holding extreme right wing views, but if you can't recognize a wingnut when you see one I don't think there's much hope for you really. Its as idiotic as claiming every insane utterance by Gorker, Brightbart, and Alex Jones was representative of mainstream right of center thinking.

Well, the milk article written by the student hack at CSULB is clearly low-rate crap given that the moron writing it doesn't know that the word is "disproportionately" not "unproportionally". Clearly, a badly written article - in the student paper for a university that doesn't rank in the top 20 in California - is obviously not a serious or credible source.
Anyway, the original milk article does not say milk is racist, as you know because you've apparently read it. It says that the health guidelines could use some nuance, because they're focused on outcomes for just one group - white people - even though milk consumption offers far less benefit to black people.
If you can't tell the difference between "health guidelines seem to be largely ignoring people of colour" with "milk is racist", you probably need to work on your reading skills.

Given that the editor (of an online student paper) let the word "unproportionally" through, I think you can safely say that he's not a credible editor. And certainly not vetting his content.

But it's interesting that you have to reach to a student's response to the original article to actually find anything even bordering on silly. And, frankly, even then the article doesn't actually say what you claim it says.

Ricks problem is he's obviously never read Huxley.

Well, that specifically about a bunch of moronic racist alt-right trolls who'd filtered the original Mother Jones article through some idiotic 4Chan and reddit nonsense and thought that drinking milk would be a way of sticking it to the libtards. As a result they decided to protest a Shia LeBoeuf art installation by taking milk along with them because they thought lefties would be upset by their racist milk.
No, I'm not making this up - somehow you're presenting it as the left who're freaking out about silly things. In fact it's the right-wing trolls who get so bothered about an article on health advice relating to milk, and about bad art created by bad actors, that they go to a gallery and drink milk while shouting abuse! The alt-right white nationalist plonkers have tried to adopt milk as a racist prop. That's what the article is referring to - admittedly in clumsy language, but then we've already accepted that the author is a terrible writer.

I see justvan hasn't bothered reading the milk article, either. Why do I need to - the description alone sounds crazy. Unlike you I don’t search the web looking for things to be offended by.

Courses in the course catalogue of Evergreen State College in Olympia,Washington “Afrofuturism” “Growing, Creating, and Understanding Color" “Countertextual Ecologies: Gastropoetics” (gastropoetics? poetry about the stomach? who the hell knows) The biology dept. has this course. “Feminist Epistemologies: Critical Approaches to Biology and Psychology." Yep universities offer courses in all kinds of things. If people want to pay for that, so what?

Perhaps you can distinguish between
- consuming human milk under the age of one, when you're getting nutrients from your mother, and
- consuming 3 glasses of cows' milk per day as an adult which is a Health Guideline recommendation to help ward off osteoporosis, a disease which appears not to hardly affect black people
-
As for Get Out (an OK, but massively overrated film), I assume that Jordan Peele was deliberately using the nonsensical alt-right milk freak-out as symbolism. The film seems to be full of all kinds of racial symbolism that I don't get.

Apparently straight men are guilty of transphobia if they don't want to date a trans woman. "Is it discriminatory to refuse to date a trans woman?""While some housemates defended Ginuwine's refusal to date a transsexual woman as a "preference", the issue divided the audience on Twitter." "Some viewers claimed Ginuwine rebuffing the notion of dating a trans woman was discrimination or transphobia" www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-42652947?ocid=socialflow_twitterMaybe there needs to be a law? Why would there need to be a law? Why is anybody that weak that they get all outraged if somebody calls an individual "transphobic" if they choose not to date a transwoman. Why would you care what other people think? Anyway surely it depends on the reason. It could be transphobic, it may not be, it entirely depends on the reason. I guess another point is if you were attracted to somebody, started dating them and found out months later they were trans, and then ended it as a result, would that be transphobic or not? (I have no firm opinion either way - just questioning.)

It's down to personal choice surely? I wouldn't date a man with a beard or who has bad hygiene habits because that's my choice. I just don't fancy them. I don't care what other people say because it's none of their business who I choose to date. Same applies here.
Why is anybody that weak that they get all outraged if somebody calls an individual "transphobic" if they choose not to date a transwoman. Why would you care what other people think? <van>
Exactly.
Men who won't date transgendered women should not have to explain themselves to anybody. If they don't fancy a transgender woman then that's that.

This.
I don't care what people think about my choice not to date short men. They can have any opinion they like and I can ignore it. Same here.
If somebody called you transphobic for not dating transwomen just shrug and say "ok".
