Had the 'rider' been wearing baggy jeans instead of jodhpurs I doubt very much if anyone would have noticed the horses douvres odor sounds like a jealous customer complaint, so the poor old store manager had to comply. Typical whinging of a certain type of Brit, <thinks Coronation St. types> & there's too many of them who just cannot mind their own business. I doubt very much that the girl actually had horse muck on her boots... if she did well fair enough - not nice

I see these characters in my local Tescos. Straight off the hourse, doing the shopping still wearing riding boots, chaps, often trailing mud or manure up the aisles.
She says, there was no changing facility? It was just "..eau de horse"; she says there was no manure, just mud.
Was she justifying her position by suggesting that Tescos should provide customer showers and changing facilities?
Stupid and arrogant.

I don't live in Town, more a largish village. There are horses and riders a plenty, I shop at Tesco on a regular basis. In 30 years I have never noticed anyone in Jodpors, I can't say I ever noticed a Horse Rider.
Where do you live JMO?
ps
Most horsey people here have Horse Lorries.

Scooby - I live in the East Midlands, the Tescos that I refer to is Ashby de la Zouch. There are a few horsey folk shoppers there who wear very dirty gear into the shop - and I ain't talking mud.
I don't know whether it was a general thing but a few months ago, Tescos there were selling horse riding tack: boots, hard hats, jodhpurs etc.
Whereabouts are you?
