Also, why does Biden keep making the "joke" "no dates till you're 30" to prepubescent girls?

Roy Moore would never make a joke like that.

So men are not more psychologically resilient. They’re just more rapey. So of course they have less to say on the issue... Men are diagnosed with PTSD at about half the rate of women. It's not clear why but it's definitely A Thing. Well yes, considering the rate at which women suffer st the hands of rapey men - it’s no surprising their rates of PTSD are higher. All the better to talk about it instead of telling them to be quiet. I mean I know you have taken to defending sexual abuse but even this is bad by your usual low standard! (And you still seem to be making the bonkers assumption that publically speaking about messed up behaviour is evidence of not being “psychologically resilient” which is a very odd link to make.)

“ have been informed with great anguish of Jenny Lumet’s recollection about our night together in 1991. I know Jenny and her family and have seen her several times over the years since the evening she described. While her memory of that evening is very different from mine, it is now clear to me that her feelings of fear and intimidation are real. While I have never been violent, I have been thoughtless and insensitive in some of my relationships over many decades and I sincerely apologize.” So, in a nutshell Simmons is admitting she is telling the truth. We’ll reach the point where it is newsworthy that a man in a position of influence and power has NOT used that status to try to harass women.

"Reed also suggested that the calls for Conyers’ resignation are racially motivated."
Here we go!!! The race card defense. Was just a matter of time.

You may not know this but PTSD does not stand for "publicly speaking about messed up behaviour". Maybe the first letter being the same is what threw you. You also may not know this but men are exposed to more traumatic events than women yet still have about half the diagnosed rates of PTSD.

Which is why you have got yourself into a muddle by talking about PTSD and psychological resilience when it is irrelevant to the matter of women speaking up about abuse and assault. I even called it out as your “bonkers assumption” making it clear it’s YOU who is confusing the two. But as I said given you yourself have defended assault you just seem to want women to shut up by claiming speaking out is showing a “lack of psychological resilience”. Is that what you say to women who object to your behaviour? Whether or not men are exposed to more traumatic events (and you have not provided a link) what does that have to do with women calling out men for rapey behaviour? You response is odd. Women speak out and instead of telling men to act better you lament the fact women won’t keep quiet. Interesting.

Its telling isn't it a thread about Al Franken and other so called liberals admitting their mistakes and either being fired or resigning gets inundated with the rabid right going on about it for 14 pages, yet a thread about Roy Moore, a pedophile, who is being enabled and sheltered by the GOP and others on the right doesn't warrant their attention. Odd that.

"It’s a man thing. Like when fathers say “my daughter csn’t Date until she’s 40" My dad made it 50 for my sister. I don’t think my dad ever said that about me. Maybe he did, but he raised me to completely ignore any such direction anyway. I just find it creepy the way people (men and women) cheer that kind of attitude about daughters and only daughters. *Grimaces*.

The Russell Simmons stuff is really grim.
As, in fact, are the latest stories about Lauer that involve him raping a women and leaving her unconscious.
Both of these are way more shocking than the Louis CK stuff, for instance. And worse than most of the Moore stuff.
But, as Voice says, all these "liberals", once exposed, get widely condemned and most get sacked (or in the case of the minor stuff like Franken's, censured). Moore (and O'Reilly, for that matter) are still getting genuine love and support from the Republicans. Trump has twice given implicit support to Moore.

Author & writer for the New York Times Magazine & National Geographic:
"Also at this morning's House Democratic caucus: James Clyburn compared Conyers' accusers to the child murderer Susan Smith, who initially claimed a black man had abducted her kids. Clyburn said, these are all white women who've made these charges against Conyers."

That should help lessen any remorse he has.
