I think we can guess why Lewis Hamilton is not popular among Austrian motor-racing fans. I suspect it's not because they'll have read his poem for Princess Diana. I would think the intersection of motor-racing fans and Austrians would tend to a specific demographic and worldview.

How many of the reasons to dislike him apply solely to him and not other motor racing drivers? I can think of two off hand - skin tone and the Diana poem. The fact that he's boring, rich, pompous, has run away to a tax haven, and so on, applies to pretty much all of the rest of them too.
