You're a weird man, Rick. Someone may have behaved like a violent idiot - and they are facing a misdemeanor battery charge as a result.
The sad thing is that they wouldn't be facing charges, and this couple wouldn't have been maced, if the issue of mask-wearing hadn't become bizarrely politicised in the US by our right-wing loons refusing to wear them.

I've been in Waitrose a couple of times since Friday. These are my observations: face-covering wearing is at ~100%; you can almost stop the steaming-up by pushing your glasses down your nose like a little old lady. Try it, it works.

Where did I say it was the couples' fault? The couple are probably reasonable liberals like the people who normally go to the dog beach on OB. The people who are at fault are (a) the macer, but she is facing a misdemeanor assault charge; and (b) the kinds of maniacs who've politicised mask wearing to the point where idiots like the macer feel a need to mace people for not wearing masks. If the maniacs on the American right hadn't ridiculously politicised mask wearing (and only now are finally beginning to get over themselves, after spreading disease for a couple of months since we knew masks were effective), then it wouldn't even be a contentious issue. |

Went to Home Bargains yesterday, and bought myself a plastic adjustable transparent full face protective shield visor, and I love it, so screw the cloth masks.
