So... there was a massive fraud trial about the sale of his company Autonomy. He and his codefendant were acquitted in June. The codefendant, Stephen Chamberlain, was just announced dead after being hit by a car earlier in the week.

Coincidences do happen, but you do have to wonder which side of the line Occam's Razor falls on this particular conspiracy.

Apparently the storm snapped the mast which made it unstable.

I suspect that the giant mast was not really function and was all form because boats like that almost always travel under the steam of their motors and are rarely actually sailed.

Have to say it very odd how the BBC has been giving the rich boys boat sinking wall to wall coverage, just because some rich cunt died I assume. While it's very tragic for the families, it's hardly world altering news, yet for days now it's lead the news, they have it on a small box on the screen with live text updates even while talking about actually important stuff.
