You must be mad - although I'd imagine Oz to be a weird place for anyone not a beer-swilling white thug or poofter. Come to France.

What's a 'potentially life-threatening condition', one that isn't currently life-threatening but could be?
But then... The Scum.

"Violent crime recorded by police in England and Wales has risen by 19%, latest figures show. The number of homicides - including murder and manslaughter - has risen from 649 to 739, an increase of 14%, and the highest total since 2007. Robbery went up by 17%, as did recorded sexual offences, according to the Home Office data released by the Office for National Statistics." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46984559

This was quite telling:
"A lot of these crimes, which the ONS describes as "lower-volume, higher-harm types of violence", happened in London and other major cities."

Was gonna say Mebbe Khan et al need to head ooop North for tips. www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/world/europe/glasgow-was-once-the-murder-capital-of-europe-now-its-a-model-for-cutting-crime/2018/10/27/0b167e68-6e02-4795-92f8-adb1020b7434_story.html“In 2005, the World Health Organization dubbed Glasgow the “murder capital of Europe.” There had been 83 homicides the previous year in the Glasgow region, where gangs were known for their booze-and-blades culture. Exasperated police in Glasgow decided to rethink strategy. They set up a violence reduction unit (VRU) guided by the philosophy that violence is like a public health issue: Violent behavior spreads from person to person. To contain it, you need to think in terms of transmission and risk, symptoms and causes.” “Scottish police plucked ideas from the Cure Violence project in Chicago, Boston’s Operation Ceasefire and Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, among other initiatives. They formed partnerships with local teachers, doctors and social workers. They didn’t abandon traditional policing. Shortly after launching the VRU, police ratcheted up stop-and-search and successfully campaigned for legislation that increased the maximum sentences for carrying a knife. But increasingly, they emphasized the interruption and prevention of violent behavior. They are intervening in hospitals, working with partners in schools and helping former offenders get back to work. Meanwhile, over the past decade, Glasgow has seen a 60 percent drop in homicides, and violent crime in Scotland has fallen to historic lows.” But it seems they are already way ahead of me and are off gathering tips. Will be interesting to see what happens. “And in London, where knife crime has risen by 50 percent in the past three years, Mayor Sadiq Khan recently announced the creation of a violence reduction unit modeled on Scotland’s. “We have listened and researched the public health approaches in cities like Glasgow, where their own long-term approach over more than a decade has delivered large reductions in violence,” the mayor said in a statement.”

I never thought you'd be an advocate for stop 'n' search, Van.

I never thought you'd be an advocate for stop 'n' search, Van. Eh? I am just sharing the news from somewhere that turned it’s crime around. Stop and search has never stopped but it’s interesting how Glasgow took a far more wide ranging and comprehensive approach.

Turned its crime around by stop 'n' search.
"police ratcheted up stop-and-search and successfully campaigned for legislation that increased the maximum sentences for carrying a knife."

The left have been babbling on about a "public health approach" in London for a while. Funnily though, they never mention the massive increase in stop and search and increase in sentences.
