That's very bad luck. I wonder which route the Israelis took. The logical ones would be straight across Saudi, which would be interesting. Much though the Saudis hate the Houthis, it would be quite a hard sell allowing Israelis to strike other Muslims across Saudi airspace. Maybe they stuck to international airspace all the way down the Red Sea, but it's hard to imagine they wouldn't have been picked up by less-than-chummy radar. Dunno.

It’s almost enough to make me wonder if the Iranians might not have had some back channel words to Mossad about where he was staying and who would be looking the other way, because they don’t want to extend this stupid war and have their Hezbollah guys getting blown up, so giving the Israelis an opportunity to say “We killed the Hamas leadership and can therefore go home” might be a way of ending it all.

I'm not sure Benji has much interest in going home or ending these wars of his, many think it's only these wars that are stopping him being replaced, and as he's facing a whole swath of fraud and corruption charges, him being PM keeps him out of court/jail.
