Another rapper got himself shot dead over night. It’s always weird when this happens because with very rare exceptions I’ve never heard of the rapper, which means that my suspicion is that rapping is only very peripherally related to how they make money or occupy their time.

Some people in the niche entertainment industry can be very successful and make shitloads of money without ever reaching the mainstream.

By selling drugs and being members of violent gangs?

I think you have to be fairly high up the tree to make large amounts of money in the gangsta industry.
I remember a few years ago being surprised that the highest earning musician in America for that year was some female country singer I'd never heard of.

It's weird that rich country music stars don't end up getting shot as much as rappers do. Even the ones who shoot people in Reno just to watch them die.

I bet it was fcukin' awful.
"The event was hosted by Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock and comedian Munya Chawawa, who were lumbered with a drab and uninspired script.
That left their off-stage co-host, Eddie Kadi, to steal the best lines of the night.
"If you didn't enjoy that, get a Covid test," he joked, after Afroswing band NSG played on stage, "because losing your taste can be one of the symptoms"."

Vibrant multiculturalism. If whites were to graphically depict blacks as they present themselves they'd be accused of racism.

There’s no way that Dave is winning a Mobo award. He’s a white bloke who rides bicycles in New England and works in something vaguely tech or maybe biotech related. He’s as MOBO as Bob or Brendan or Lee.
