Yeah, but the military are basically unskilled expendable idiots, whereas NHS staff are highly trained and actually do an important job. It matters if healthcare staff die because you can't just replace them with some thick teenager from a sink estate.

It was always going to be the case that the hard of thinkers would draw all the wrong conclusions if the mitigation efforts were successfully done and the NHS didnt end up like Italy with people just left to die for a lack of vents.
It's the price of success I suppose.

The mitigation efforts have worked, using existing resource, for a limited period.
Properly resourced. Given how many NHS staff are at home, you'd have to say, comfortably so.
Again, the system works, but - f**k me - it could be so much better. Only a thicko or a crook couldn't see that.
