Yep. I think this might improve the match, England having to chase it.
I wonder where (wet) King Canute's loyalties lie today?

Lovely equaliser, too. Enjoyable match this. Not the same "quality" as yesterday in terms of possession, but there's a bit more pace to it.

Haha. True.
More than that, the own goal should add impetus.
TBF, to my unschooled eye, England are clearly the better team. Good scrap though.

I'm not sure which team is better. England better for the first 10 minutes, Denmark for the next 20, England after the Danish scored. I think it's a good contrast in styles - England have been playing a lot of possession and deliberate build up, Denmark are set up to absorb the pressure and then counter-attack fast. There are spells where England's possession goes nowhere and it's too ponderous, other times where it feels just like sensible patience until a gap opens up for Sterling or Saka (or, presumably, Grealish after 70 minutes or so) to run at.

Bizarrely not.
I wondered if I'd ever see England in a major tournament final!

Well done England.
We're going to have to jolly well pull up our socks against those Pumas, mind.

Don't yet anyone say we didn't deserve that penalty.
Stirling would have been through to score or lay it off for it to be slotted in if he hadn't been bundled off the ball.
It was a lousy penalty kick from Kane - but at least he had the savvy to follow it through and score.
And I've told you all that Saka is very good.

Saka seems to be great.
We both deserved the win, because we were the better team. And it should have been a penalty because Sterling's leg was tapped before the first defender got the ball. I think he was also fouled for the second, but it doesn't matter - it was a foul the first time.
It was an dreadful penalty from Kane - one of the worst of the tournament which has had some terrible penalties.

The green laser they flashed in the Danish goalie's eyes was made in Europe, so no. But Sterling's dive was a typical Johnson move so yes in another way. Although the Danish own goal wasn't really a Brexit benefit. On the other hand you could say the sporting English booing every time the Danish had the ball was a Brexit product.

I’m glad that all the people who were boycotting the England team because they were a bunch of marxists taking the knee have not suddenly changed their minds and jumped on a nationalist bandwagon.
