Minutes of a key telephone call about a contract awarded to Randox after it employed Owen Paterson as a consultant have been lost, a minister says.
MPs were told details of the conference call could not be found – just one hour after Boris Johnson bowed to pressure to release details of the contracts.

Does it matter who minutes them? This one was minuted and was about to be released. Suddenly it got lost behind the sofa. The story is not how the minutes came to be. The story is about how the government suddenly managed to leave them on the bus when the teacher asked for them.

Did they say they would "release the minutes" or is that a bit of journalistic licence in the absence of any minutes, which may or may not have been taken at an unspecified meeting?
