When I was a kid, me and some mates found this huge moth that was in the process of getting attacked by a sparrow. We'd never seen a moth like it before and thought it might have escaped from somewhere. We managed to follow it and find it after the sparrow had chased it off. It was leaking some sort of ichor from a wound. It flew away and we never saw it again, or possibly we just lost interest at that stage. Its body was about 2" long and about as thick as your thumb.

It was you who changed the course of evolution.

The part Mids forgot to tell us was that he chased the sparrow and moth into a experimental nuclear facility, and the subsequent Mothra-coccoon was shipped to Queensland where it went and sat in someone's aunty's standard lamp until a couple of days ago.

And now it's pinned to a board in someone's collection. If it had been left in the lamp it might have gone on to cross with a pigeon or something.

Ha! It already laid its eggs somewhere around Fukushima.

It was you who changed the course of evolution. Yeah, we don't know what the sparrow's intentions were, but that might explain the seepage.

The recent French saber-rattling, while laughable, has obviously reminded someone that Panzeurs may soon be stationed in Scotland: www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-shropshire-57025266.ampWhether they'll be a a match for the Leupards of the Heer, remains to be seen. I suppose that much depends if Ursula had been in charge of their procurement. She fuxked the Leuftwaffe's Typheuns.

"The vehicles will be produced at the Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) plan"
Certainly sounds very un-EUish.

Interestingly, these aren't new tanks. You wouldn't necessarily get that from the link.
These are upgrades and the main thing seems to be away from the elegant rifled bore (much loved and vaunted) to the vulgar smooth bore favoured by the Yanks. Technology moves one. Pretty gunnery has had its day.

Funnily enough, it sounds like they will be upgraded in the old GDLS facility where we used to upgrade Foxhounds, which are being withdrawn already. Life moves on.

I love that they're described as "fully digital". I wonder if the wheels are analogue or if they rotate discrete amounts each time?

Of course, they don't have wheels. They are tracked. Perhaps the ultimate in analogue.

The tracks go around wheels don't they? Maybe both tracks and wheels are digital in these fully digital tanks?

Some more poor buggers have been shot by a bloke in Colorado Springs, I see. It's a sad reflection that it's barely newsworthy.

That second paragraph just shows how backwards society is. You may as well claim maternity leave “enforces negative stereotypes of women”. Surely acknowledging that some people may need time off to deal with a basic biological function (which impacts people differently) should just be part of a normal society? It only makes women look “weaker” if you have a weird if looking at society which posits male as the default. It’s not weaker / stronger just different.
“ Supporters say menstrual leave is as important for women as maternity leave, a recognition of a basic biological process. But critics say it reinforces negative stereotypes of female workers and could even discourage employers from hiring women”

I don't think anyone here disagreed with the idea. Knock yourselves out. As long as it also includes persons who identify as female.

If it’s menstruation leave then it will be for people menstruating with the only potential limit being age (and pregnancy).
