I don’t even understand “covid relief funding was for covid”. Are you saying they should have handed it to the virus? Of course it’s going to go to people. That’s what money does. And the education component of that funding will go to education people.

There's the rub, they like education in these private religious schools (US right) where they can stop em learning science, critical thinking and how to question their teachers, but hate public education where these things are the norm. They see the same voting breakdown everyone else does, the GOP does best among the least educated in society, so keeping em dumb is in the GOP's best interests. Hence the constant attacks on pluralistic public education.
