I work with a Korean nurse, she's nice, but has nothing good to say about Korean men, says they are incredibly shovenistic, she's married to a Leeds fan now oddly enough.

According to one survey in 2021, 79% of South Korean men in their 20s believe they are victims of “reverse discrimination”. In neighbouring Japan, a survey the same year found that 43% of men aged 18 to 30 “hate feminism”.

Fewer people are getting married: more than 60% of Japanese women in their late twenties are unmarried, double the rate in the mid-1980s.
The article is making the bizarre correlation that the latter is driving the former, rather than the more likely explanation that the former is driving the latter.
(1) Men are entitled to have obedient women to marry and when women aren't marrying them they get upset
or
(2) If men are a bunch of sexist cunts, why would women marry them?

I think the former driving the latter makes more sense: men become more chauvinistic and sexist, women decide that marriage to said men sounds fairly depressing so opt out. The Economist did a similar article a few months back talking about the phenomena it references here (men becoming more conservative, women more liberal) it showed that divergence is dramatically more extreme in SoKo as compared to other places. |

Given that in the UK "manslaughter by unlawful or dangerous act" can result in a sentence of up to 18 years in prison, I would advise strongly that the six-and-a-half years given to the convicted is a tad on the lenient side. |
