So I see the Tories disastrous night might have pushed many of them over the edge, well if the hysterical hair pulling and rending of clothes seen here is anything to go by

That's right - local murder stats utterly trump the cost-of-living issues that people face and, as for The Fat Controller's "honesty", the rampant cronyism amongst his latest set of friends, and the 30,000+ excess deaths attributable to him and his acolytes - well, they don't even feature, do they? Perhaps you need to understand that I am deeply relaxed when you say the things you do, as this is part of YOUR problem. Please keep thinking and spouting these things. Ta muchly. Glad you enjoyed my missive Moggs…😊 Obviously you agree that despite Al Beebs £5billion of tax payers money annually , that it’s only right that the Hackney Gazette should scoop them on a story of gang bangers shooting innocent Members of the public in a park & instead concentrate on wether Boris was at a work gathering for more than ten mins or if Starmer drank 6 or 8 pints at his party. Glad I could keep you informed on London’s news…👍

calm down dear, you always must of knows Boris and Co's mass of sophistries would come home to roost one day, and that day was yesterday. Perhaps if you try hard enough the UN will put the tories on the endangered species list.

Sturmer is a liability. He must step aside and let Flangella have a crack at it. Maybe call a snapper election.
I expect that Beergate will actually be looked at again now.

Starmer must resign. He called for Boris to resign before the beergate investigation was finished.

Thing is, all of the hysterical shrieking left must call on Starmer to resign just like they did with Boris.

Why? Johnson made the Law, then broke it (repeatedly), lied about it (ditto), tried covering it up (getting bored now), then gets his arse handed to him on a plate by only 30% of the great unwashed. And all this before the Sue Gray report is published in full (I trust - but don't hold yer breath), before inflation hits 10%, and before the stunning success of Brexit hits the media (well, some of it).
I know you get this but, hey, we live in a free country - so you're free to believe what you want.

I remember during my training the mental health lecturer said, continued belief in the face contradictory evidence is delusion.

he thought it was a work event... Judging by Labour's performance, he doesn't appear to think that work's a work event.

So , Cons lose 450 seats …. What does this suggest re the General election in 2 years ? Cons majority “collapses” to 70 ? Boris continues to fail upwards & passes power to Sunak while taking on some ridiculously well paid City role ??

Well yeah, the Tories are doing very well out of the fiasco which is the current UK. Almost seems like they've created chaos as a profit making (for them) enterprise. The UK holocaust. They'll milk this for years while the people try to make ends meet.

Sometimes Local elections work as they should. Voting on local issues.
Croydon Council has been Labour for some time. It is and has been utterly incompetent - not corrupt (at least I don't think so) just utterly useless.
Culminating in the whole council going bankrupt. Nothing could get done. For example, just to show how stupid the whole thing was - the curtains at the crematorium chapel were broken and couldn't be closed. They could not afford to mend them.
Finally the electorate - who have always in the past voted Labour voted in a Conservative Council to get them out of the mess.
The Tory party running the country may have made a Right Royal Barrel Of Monkeys out of their time in office - but on a local level they tend to know how to run a council.
