It isn't really a double standard, when you apply one to only yourself. Point being, all adults who sexually abuse minors should be treated equally under the law, irrespective of the sex of either. But, that doesn't stop blokes looking back to their teenage years and fantasizing about older women. Hence the Mirror article. Heck, it was an Australian woman who pretty much nobody in Britain has heard of, accused of having sex with a teenage boy. Ordinarily that wouldn't make the news here, but she's good looking and the Mirror knows damn well it'd get a lot of clicks from blokes fantasising it was them as a 14yo. You can hold such contrary views. You know it was wrong but also you know you'd have loved it. It is a double standard if you view adult women having sex with minor boys as different to adult men having sex with minor girls. That's what I was f**k**g saying! This thread's gone mad. |

What's being clearly illustrated here is the different forms wokery takes.
While I accept woke (as I've posted before) as a term which was originally applied to those who called out the various injustices in society, it has been seized by some groups to use as a means of unreasonable and insulting attack. The trans issue is a good example: someone says anything which goes against the views of extreme wokists and they scream "Transphobe"... if you don't regard homosexuality as normal, you're a "homophobe", and so on.
Woke is being used as a means of attacking the quite reasonable views of others. And it's always the same type of fascist liberals who clearly have problems of their own where sex and gender is concerned.
