Anyway, I passed through blighty yesterday afternoon and this morning heading home (sat on the tarmac at LHR right now). The country needs to have a word with itself. Clearly the public don’t give a toss and are carrying on like normal humans. But the media is having an absolute frotfest. Hilariously every digital advertising board on the M4 and every bus stop had pics of the queen on them.

Bon voyage, Andy.

It was interesting at yesterday's huddle at work that nobody really wanted to say very much about the Queen's death. I think that's probably because most of my colleagues are lefty academic types, but I was a bit disappointed that nobody in the C-group (no, really, that's a thing) made a general statement. Seemed like pretty weak and dithery leadership to me. They could have just said something light and thoughtful but, no, they dodged it.
They are rubbish. I was mocking that MBA speak the other day and they were all a bit stoney-faced about it, so I've take to referring to them as The C-section.

We got a work email saying, among other things, that services (counselling) were available for anyone who felt the need.

Haha. Tye other end or the spectrum I suppose. It becomes a real burden, all that counseling stuff. I guess they need to keep themselves busy.

Anyway, I'm glad that the left are in a hysterical, frothing rage. They usually are. There are so many things that they just don't "get" and, while they can point out the apparent issue, they fail to be able to put it in context. Actually, that's probably the root of their weird adolescent fixation with other people's sex lives and wobbly bits.

Why does Sadiq Khan get to go to the Kinging ceremony? Are there some black kids that need murdering at Buck House?

I was quite impressed at how they had everything ready to go so quickly….like they had some kind of heads up…

I see there's to be a holiday to commemorate the Queen. Republicans etc will, of course, refuse to take this holiday.

Mrs voice and voice jur are in Blighty at the present, his one thing he really wanted to do, see a live footy match, has been canvelled cos Brenda pegged it. Appears they were scared of footy fans being disrespectful! www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11198513/amp/AHEAD-GAME-Fear-fan-dissent-Queen-tributes-factor-Premier-League-halt.html“ Concern that tributes to the Queen may not have been universally respected — and the potential for global embarrassment in the event of any dissent from fans — was a factor in the decision to call off all football in the United Kingdom this weekend. A number of Shamrock Rovers supporters caused outrage by singing offensive songs during their Europa Conference League game against Swedish club Djurgardens on Thursday evening. “ I am always amazed when Britons / parts of the press are surprised when our figureheads and government are not universally lived.

I'm not buying that really. Shamrock United are a petty Irish football club in a country where soccer is, I believe, a minority sport. I don't think that would translate to UK. Maybe - maybe - one or two Scottish clubs but, even then, I doubt it.
