In 2020 Imane Khelif lost in the quarterfinals against Irish participant Kellie Harrington. She’s not this unbeatable testosterone ridden monster. She just trained hard and hit her opponent harder. She represents the country of Algeria. It is illegal to be trans there, which is an issue of its own. They would not have sent a trans athlete to compete. Use the brain you have. If you can’t use that, use the literal supercomputer in your pocket.

And it’s funny how the “Your gender is determined by your junk” and “Your gender is determined by how you were assigned at birth” brigade are suddenly fighting the exact opposite corner of this particular boxing ring right now. It’s almost as if a complicated, awkward, non-binary thing might not be as trivially simple as their bigoted nonsense suggests.

"As with previous Olympic boxing competitions, the gender and age of the athletes are based on their passport."
Mmmmm ..... scientific.

The right’s meltdown over this is so embarrassing. They’ve got so many things wrong in their blathering bigotry. They’ve claimed that Khelif grew up as a man and transitioned. They’ve not questioned the IBA, who it appears never actually tested the athletes. They’ve claimed the Italian broke her nose when she didn’t. They didn’t question the Italian’s previous bout where she also quit after getting hit. It appears to be a complete meltdown of stupidity and wrongness. They haven’t even noticed that it completely contradicts their normal complaints.

The IBA did test the athletes' chromosomes, I believe. The Algerian lad declined to repeat it, and the Olympics folks accepted him on the basis of his passport. The regulations they apply are not uniform across sports.

And the “It’s dangerous for women to compete against Khelif” plonkers seem to have no asked themselves how f**k**g dangerous it is for women to compete against the women who’ve beaten Khelif.

Weird that they got Tom Hanks to referee it though.

The IBA refused to specify why the boxers failed their gender “tests” and but did say they haven’t undergone testosterone tests.
Lin has lost 14 bouts in her life. Is it dangerous for the 14 women who’ve beaten her to also box against other women?

Fair fight. They could have won on techique. Also, he could always have a bad day. Amazing to see lefties demandjbg that we institutionalise unfairness.

So how dangerous is it for this Italian woman to have to fight women with better technique who’ve beaten Khelif or Lin? I can’t imagine. Perhaps we just shouldn’t let women do sports because it’s too dangerous for their delicate dispositions?
