Here's the extremely daft but enjoyable Atlantis. It was the music playing in the background when Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci beat/stab/shoot that bloke to death in Goodfellas.

I loved his music at the time but it's worn very badly . He doesn't seem to have grown up at all either .Purple velvet jacket and peace sign indeed ! And meditation in schools .

Dylan sucks. i havent found one bit of his music that appeals to me, ok Mr Tambourine man...there, where as Donovan did Mellow Yellow which is better than tambourine man.

If, as you say, Donovan was a "wannabe Dylan" then so was Neil Young, Springsteen and many, many others.
Donovan, and a whole raft of UK Folk Singers were singing folk before anyone had heard of Dylan. (it's just that Dylan was superb) Not many people realize how successful Donovan was across the world. He was huge in the States.
I think a lot of his stuff stands up well.
He may sound a bit Tree Huggy but he's one of the few people who have stayed true to their beliefs.

Dylans lyrics although mean bugger all to me, i can admit and see why they made an impact, but musically speaking the guy had a hrad time in making a tune catchy, especially with that god aweful whinging voice of his.
