The Evil Tory Council is evicting traveler's at Dale Farm. Many of those under threat are the most vulnerable of the traveler community, and society - the elderly, the sick or those with young children. The extent of need on that site is great. The first people who give up traveling because of the stresses are those with the greatest medical and educational needs, people with mental health needs, physical disabilities or those who require the stability of education for kids with special needs. The travelers' spokesman Rattan Paxon warned that the situation could explode into violence if the bailiffs were sent in. "The women are very, very upset and the men are very, very defiant. They will defend the farm. There is nowhere for them to go and it is very traumatizing for the children. It is hoped that the council now acts reasonably and thinks very carefully before sending in the bulldozers. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/court-defeat-spells-eviction-for-travellers-1513160.htmlThey are victims of prejudice and victimization. Its one law for the Tory Tiff councilor in there big houses, and another for the week and needy living hand to mouth in the Fields. Yet again the Tory upper class Establishment rides roughshod over the working class.

The point here is But over the past eight years it has grown with many others gravitating towards Dale Farm without permission, often having been evicted from elsewhere. Travellers bought land on an old scrap yard, which is designated Green Belt, and the community grew to more than 1,000 people.
We've had occasional visits from small numbers of these people over the years. When they arrive there is invariably a surge in burglaries, cars being stolen and people being conned into paying for shoddy building work. I had one come to me offering to fix my roof. He was incredably persuave. He could make a good living as a proper sales man. Needless to say there is nothing wrong with my roof so I sent him on his way. But 1000 people hanging around. Some of dodgy backgrounds. These are not a persecuted minority. Some may be, but their failure to manage their community properly has resulted in its demise.

Oh my bad, I got your post mixed up with Rude Eric, and replied as though you posted it, but you're generally a tw*t anyway, so disagreeing with you is simply a given these days. Swear filter is on again! Sh*t!

FFS Eric use the Spell Check.
Always been dubious of the so called traveller sites. If they travel why are all the mobile homes concreted in and connected to the water, electric and sewage, which I am sure they pay for.
A friend recently got evacuated from his home. There was an unofficial traveller site about 1/4 mile from his home and a fire broke out in one of the buildings. The head pikey had to explain to the fire service that the building was where they stored all their acquired Calor gas bottles. The fire service was there overnight, spraying water on the building to stop the gas bottles exploding.
They then had the balls to complain that the fire service took time getting to the site, up a single lane narrow farm track and they were unhappy at the service received and this was not good enough as they were tax payers.
Does duty on fags and booze count as making you a tax payer.

About 4am sounds about the right time to send them in.

wonk words?
Hmmm... come to think of it that's a pretty good description.
Take pity on the poor travellers, Eric. Let one put his caravan outside your house. he can always use your water and your bathroom and let his kids play in your yard. You might find the value of your house halves overnight, but that doesn't matter, does it now, for a good comrade like you?

"The travelers' spokesman Rattan Paxon warned that the situation could explode into violence if the bailiffs were sent in" They don't sound very old, young, sick or vunerable. Exactly! I don't have much sympathy for the travellers to be honest. While the rest of us have to work our socks off to make a decent living, educate our kids, pay our taxes, council tax etc., the travellers don't have jobs, don't pay taxes, or council tax etc. . . . makes my patience wear a bit thin! They know they aren't allowed on farm land unless they have the farmer's permission, so it isn't legitimate.

Just read the article again and it says the travellers originally bought a piece of land which was formerly a scrap yard. They were granted permission for 40 families to live there. They took advantage of this and now there are more than 1000 people there. The children are being educated, but hardly have an ideal upbringing. The litter and state of the area has deteriorated since the travellers went onto the land. They know they have to move on, so hopefully the less irate male travellers will move on with their families and not cause any trouble.
