You miss the point, NY.. A survey of ? Muslims from ?, 44% of that none quantified number of unknown Muslims asked goodness knows what questions and the results interpretted by ? published in the gutter press doesn't even pass the basics of reliability of UK Muslim opinion. Worth any kind of attention? Not by anyone with any sense.

Nobody with any sense paid attention to the government's cheery claims that crime was falling either. We could see the reality. I wouldn't use The Star to wipe my arse but I can see muslim communities growing for myself.

Or perhaps they're just fed up being harrased by some tablpid journalist looking for an angle. Nope, bank robbers. Or ninjas. Yeah, they look like ninjas, pretty scarey that you have so many ninjas just walking around like that. Did you know that ninjas are the silent assassins?

Suppose a poll shows 44% of British voters will vote Tories if an election was held tomorrow, would you still pretend you don't understand what the results mean? No, you are pretending to be dumb because you don't like the results.

Do you really think that Muslims are the only people in the UK who prefer to live amongst people they feel comfortable with? In any city and any country you will find that there are communities where the people are of Indian, Polish, African, Irish, and Chinese heritage. They aren't the only religion , or even branch of religion, that doesn't like intermarriage either. There have been thriving Jewish communities in this, and virtually every other country for centuries. Should there be a law that says all these communities should break up and intigrate into the general population too? If not, why not? If you are going to say that people should intigrate than you have to make them feel at home among communities other than their own. If they feel that they are not wanted then they won't try and mix. They feel isolated and unwanted in many areas. They go where they feel comfortable which is usually among people like themselves. Of course Muslims should mix, and where they are treated as equals they do, in schools, hospitals, universaties and the professions, but that still leaves many on the fringes and those are the fertile grounds for the recruiters. No-one chooses to live in a ghetto if they can see a better life for themselves outside it.

There it is. The comparison of muslim communities with jewish ones.
Muslims are not jews. There have been entire wars about it. And although jews and other groups have set up what amounts to little villages exclusive to themselves it was never encouraged as a wonderful thing to do until recently when some fool invented multiculturalism. Possibly the most stupid idea of all time. Welcome another culture to a soft country like Britain. Pass laws, formulate policies and dictate guidelines to encourage it to thrive. Listen carefully and nod to anything the spokepersons of this culture have to say and accomodate them as much as possible. Why would they bother to try and integrate? There's more in it by staying apart. Do that for a faith like islam with so many devout nuts pushing it and the extremists are going to see the possibilities. They have.
There is a large religion which isn't compatible with our lifestyles and values growing larger in this country. So many things from the food we eat to the hobbies we have are against the laws of this religion. You can imagine some mullah pointing that out every Friday night down the mosque. We're all fcuking sinners to these mullahs. We're infidels.
Are we all comfortable with that?

Mostly they came here to make lives and raise families in a better place than whence they came. Sadly they were followed by their religion and it's devout preachers. Which is why there should be pressure to integrate. The multicultural dimwits really should get a fully comprehensive kicking.

Then you're accused of islamaphobia and all the drippy liberals rally round to condemn you as a right wing facist bastard and BNP supporter.

What happens if you don't want to convert? You don't. It's not rocket science.
You can't have it both ways they either want to live separate lives or they want us to join them...it can't be both. Which do you believe?
Personally I don't believe that either is true when they are welcomed into the community. Show them a positive and welcoming side to being a part of the wider community and they will be. As people we are suspicious of newcomers and people with different ways. Isolating them and vilifying the whole community because of a few isn't going to make them feel that they want to be part of a hostile society. Of course they have to play their part in joining in with the wider lives of the areas and communities they live in but they need to be welcome when they try. It's a two way thing.

"What happens if you don't want to convert?"
Not many years ago in the UK you could wake up without a head, or be burnt at the stake.
