"Tony Blair, lauded by many as the master politician of his time, has become enormously rich as Britain has tumbled into debt." 'It was he who wrecked all the great institutions created over the last 200 years: an honest, impartial civil service; the English law courts; the finest police force in the world; and a House of Commons which represented the people, not the politicians. 'And it was also he who set out to destroy the House of Lords, once so admired for its probity - interestingly, all of those embroiled in these allegations were invested with their peerages by Labour" "They approached a total of ten peers who already had a number of paid consultancies - five Labour, three Tories, a Liberal Democrat and an Ulster Unionist. The Conservatives did not return their calls, while the LibDem and the Unionist refused to help after- - - - -" www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1127420/Four-Labour-peers-face-corruption-probe-Lords-hire-allegations.htmlThis stinks to high heaven but is an indication of what some politicians have become. Labour is riddled with corruption and that is now obvious to any fair thinking person. All must be rooted out and exposed for what they are. For years Labour accused the Tories of sleaze. Pot and kettle applies here.

If Blair wanted to destroy the House of Lords, he certainly got that right.
Blair has destroyed just about everything he touched, either on purpose or by incompetence.
Brown is carrying the banner even futher with mis flawed ideaolegy.
Who in Gods name voted for these corrupt ,useless Politicians.

It's nu labour standard procedure. Take a system that is by no means perfect but functional and reform it into a financial money-spinning bonanza for corrupt officials.

LABOUR POLITICIANS DO NOTHING WRONG AGAIN THE Labour Party was embroiled in controversy last night after another four of its politicians did absolutely nothing wrong. As the Sunday Times published details of four labour peers accepting money to try and influence legislation, the party said it was not often British politics was confronted with a such a spectacular absence of wrongdoing. Labour peer Lord Moonie, said: "Asking for money to perform consultancy tasks that may or may not involve tabling amendments may not be right, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. "And either way, as a member of the British legislature it is hardly for me to decide what should and should not be against the law." A Labour spokesman said the latest example of Labour politicians not doing anything wrong would be confirmed after a thorough investigation by the Labour Leader of the House of Lords. It is the first time this year that Labour politicians have done nothing wrong and comes after a series of money related scandals in which there was absolutely no wrongdoing. A party spokesman said: "Yes, Peter Hain failed to register donations to his deputy leadership campaign and was rebuked by the Commons but I'm sure you'll agree, he didn't actually do anything wrong. "Yes, we accepted £600,000 from a millionaire businessman in someone else's name in a clear breach of the rules, but that's not the same as actual wrongdoing. "Yes, lots of people may have been offered this or that in exchange for a donation but it is a matter of record that no-one did anything wrong. Even the Crown Prosecution Service somehow managed to agree with us on that one. "And yes, Peter Mandelson failed to declare details about his mortgage and tried to help some Indian chums skip the passport queue. That, of course, is textbook example of no-one doing anything wrong as you can see from his recent promotion." www.thedailymash.co.uk/politics/politics-headlines/labour-politicians-do-nothing-wrong-again-200901261534/
