Wednesday, London
Beautiful and sunny, but some snow still lying where it hasn't been cleared away. The playground at the back of our offices has been closed, so no chance for the kids to play in the snow. It's yer 'elf and safety, innit?

Thursday.
Snowing heavily and laying. No grit on any roads and transport is backed up, many vehicles abandoned. We tried, but had to be dug out. Sky heavy and dark, so loads more to come. Cold.

It's been snowing in south Yorks since I woke up this morning. Struggled in to work on the A1(M) with front & rear foglamps on as visibility was very poor. I've never had to use foglamps before in my life, and this week I've had to use them twice! It's still snowing hard, and it looks as though we may be digging our cars out at home time. My daughter got to work at Dinnington, 20 miles away, but now the buses have stopped so she can't get home tonight. Fortunately, a nice colleague has offered her a place to sleep tonight, as she can't afford to keep paying for taxis home. And her mean boss won't pay for them.

At last, a day when I didn't have to chip my car out of an ice cube this morning! Hooray!
Forecasts are very contradictory for the weekend - some say Sunday is going to be heavy snow up here again, others say "cloudy", others "chance of light snow showers"...
WTF?

Clear blue skies, our still laying and clean snow looks amazing with it too. Not as cold, in fact quite pleasant, but, as you say Chey - what's next? We have been warned of a major snowfall coming in on Monday, just have to wait and see I s'pose.

Cold, windy but dry today! 2 degrees
Thank goodness it's stopped raining! Horrendous storms and flooding last night. Thankfully no flooding near us.

Not you and all?? I had 9 people in this house at the weekend, and we ran out of paracetamols. Every one of us had raging headaches - must be the heavy cloud cover I guess.
Grim, grey, damp, but still got a bit of snow standing in the garden!

I've had a gutfull of summer.
Heat and humidity is bloody awful and the cicada's are sending me deaf.
Plus I keep getting smacked in the head for 'looking' at women on the beach, while it is perfectly acceptable for the wife to oogle the new postman. I'm dying for her to have a conversation with him, he's as gay as they come.
ROFLMAO.
