I'm not deflecting any discussion. It directly relates to a comment made by PK which you would know if you read the thread in its entirety.
And, for future reference, it may shock you to know that sometimes threads end up in other places.

So you're a bit concerned Tarrant, but you can't think of anything to be done so you'll just ignore as there's not much point worrying.

Can I just ask all the sceptics what future they envisage vis a vis muslims in the UK? You know so we can compare the accuracy of the two viewpoints in the not too distant future, ie : 1) No problem, nothing to see here; or 2) A bit of a problem, and something we should be concerned about Bit of a problem, but not much of one really, and certainly not worth getting up in arms about. Probably best dealt with by making sure kids go to properly secular schools and get to integrate with the rest of everyone else. Not really worth being "concerned" about. Just worth keeping an eye on, at most. Certainly not worth being deeply paranoid about birth-rates.

I actually said 'Neither one, nor two'. However if you want to do your normal Cobbs trick of creating something else and arguing against that instead feel free.
And I don't think I complained about people complaining about the snow. That is, yet again, a Cobbs invention.

It's basically worth being concerned about in the same way that it's worth being concerned about runaway buses killing me on pedestrian crossings. Keep your eyes open, and all, and try and make sure buses have OK brakes, but really they already do, almost all of them. And it's not something I'm going to be ruining my underwear over all the time.

Vania, I'm not going to rise to your attempts to turn this into a personal wrangling over irrelevancies. Whenever that happens, which you always seem to want to do, the thread becomes very very boring.
Fat Andy, no one is asking you to soil your nappy. Show a bit of awareness and concern as a citizen would be fine.

Well then ignore them instead of responding. Not hard.
I think I vaguely second that Fandy. I just think 'concern' is maybe too strong a word, and I'm not going to be in a panic at the thought of a muslim in majority in Europe and Sharia law as the law of the land.
Nor do I give a flying fig about how many Christians are in the country as post one thinks I should.

There's a growing fascist influence in this country and people just shrug. You deserve your future.

No one is asking you to be in a panic Vania, just to show some awareness and foresight.

Why should I show concern? If I think that, basically, the system will moderate most people who grow up here, why should I show concern? I think there's a very slight potential for a serious problem; and a slight potential for a mild problem. And that's about it. It's just not worth getting any sort of worked up over.

Vania? Do you want to be tied and and whipped whilst I bugger you with a broom handle? Or do you not enjoy sex?

Why should I show concern? If I think that, basically, the system will moderate most people who grow up here, why should I show concern? What are you basing that belief on? because most of the polls show the opposite. That Muslims in Britain are becoming more, not less Islamic.

All these people with irrational dangerous beliefs - like Andy - are getting me down.

Ah, the usual. Except that snow got a mention. Loads of muslims is nothing to worry about. They'll turn all fluffy in a liberal environment. But the liberal environment isn't helping to reduce knife-crime or anything else so I can't understand how it's supposed to influence a religion that has been stirring things up for centuries and is still going strong. It's not like the fluffies dare treat islam in the same way that they treat christianity these days. Although I'd love to see a righteous authentic damp liberal go round to the local mosque to complain about islamic attitudes to gays.
And even if muslims backslide a little, I imagine that a guest star appearance at the local mosque by a celebrity rabid mullah from the old country can revive that old time religion.
We shouldn't be dismissing the concerns.

So you're a bit concerned Tarrant, but you can't think of anything to be done so you'll just ignore as there's not much point worrying. Not what was said cobblers. You do have a dreadful tendency to alter things to suit yourself

"I think there's a very slight potential for a serious problem... It's just not worth getting any sort of worked up over."
So, not worth worrying about the potential (however slight - and how do you quantify 'slight'?) for a serious problem?

Worth worrying about in the same way that it's worth worrying about drowning in my soup or out of control buses ploughing me down as I walk on the pavement. It might happen, and if it does I'm fcuked. But, you know, not something I actually going to worry about because if I start worrying about things at that level of risk and concern I'll never be able to function.

Correct me then Tarrant, make your meaning clear.
Do you agree or disagree with my understanding of your position, ie that you are a bit concerned but put it out of your mind because you can't think of anything to be done.
