It's not difficult. But I use it for impact and to shock. That's the point of using offensive words. I know perfectly well why I'm using the word f**k.

FA the point is a word will be more or less offensive depending on context and depending on how it is used and who it is heard by. There is no set list of what is and isn't verboten in every circumstance and I think people are right to resist the idea that there is. It's totalitarian and wrong.

And - we still dont know the context - Carol Thatcher was foolish using it in that environment. But for her to be labelled now as 'racist' with no real exploration of the facts is very unfair. The racist libel which is thrown about like confetti in our fcuked up society - and which can be very damaging - is awful. I don't see any evidence of it actually addressing real racism, it just makes everything in our sick society that little bit more toxic.

Wrong. Again. It was a common term of racist abuse in the 70s and 80s, and the term's meaning hasn't changed. It probably can't change as gollywogs became racist charicatures themselves.

You are being very narrow minded omni.

The effect of the long list of advantages being given to some groups is to cause resentment among others.

British people are not racist. There is no racism in British culture. The opposite.

But Most of us are becoming throughly fed up having to wander around on glass incase someone picks up on perfectly innocent actions or deeds and accuses us of racism.
