I didn't say that her work was grubby as you put it. i just think that the celebrity culture we have means that they feel they have to do stuff all the time and maybe they don't stop to think about their real lives. My comment was not aimed at you, it was a general obsevation. 'Do stuff' to them is their job, we (the stupid masses) have alowed 'celebrity' to actually be a job with a very high income. it is their lives.

bearing in mind the fact this apology for a human being has earned a fortune by being vulgar ,racist, grossly stupid and obnoxious , and also bearing in mind many decent people die of cancer each year, I find the whole notion of her being news at all a rather damning comment on modern society! Blame the mentality that made her a 'celeb' in the first place. She was only selected because she was thick as two short planks for BB, they put her where she is. I don't blame her for hanging onto that status, she is still getting bad advice from her peers though.

A young lad is in the newspapers today, he was given the new drug that Jade is going to be given. Apparently he wasn't given long to live and has managed two years extra so far with this wonder drug. I hope it manages to give Jade precious times with her sons.

Was that that 11 year old with the neuroblastoma? If so, he wasn't given the drug, as the risk of damage to his kidneys and heart was too high. His dad and grandparents are bombarding him with alternative therapies, and reckon the tumours are on the way out.

She won't be the first, and certainly not the last. 27?...no age at all.

Unfortunately, many people decide to try alternative therapies, once conventional treatments have failed, way too late for them to be of any benefit. It is in the interests of pharmaceutical companies that they keep us all poorly, and not getting better through "alternative therapies" as that keeps their shareholders happy. This is no comparison to illnesses like cancer, but as an example, I used acupuncture and Bowen therapy for my two frozen shoulders and both succeeded brilliantly where conventional physiotherapy and anti-inflammatories had failed.

frozen shoulder? Doesn't that just mean a lack of flexibility in the shoulder which afflicts middle-aged inactive types and is easily cured by exercise?

Exercise! LOL! Ah, if only that were true.
A frozen shoulder often does affect middle-aged women, that part is true, but the "frozen" means that the arm is often almost stuck to one's side (it can also be called capsulitis), and the pain, which can go on for years, can be excruciating and relentless. The causes are still a bit of a mystery amongst the medical community, an injury can bring the condition on, but often there has been no particular cause, as was the case when my right shoulder became frozen last year. It seems to be genetic, again, it seems to be so in my case as my mum and my sister are predisposed to the condition. Right load of old crocks we are!

Just about everyone round here goes to a guy for back treatment that is frowned upon by doctors, who just want to give you painkillers or injections that MIGHT give 3 months relief. We all get relief after 2 sessions of manipulation, and the curing effect lasts at minimum a year, most times always.
Oh, and I suffered frozen shoulder in my early 30's, and was advised to get an automatic car, since when I have never had any problem!

"Alternative" medicine could potentially play an important Darwinian role in humanity, actually. Weed stupidity and gullibility out of the gene pool.

A holistic approach to illness, allergies, disease etc has become very credible over recent years. Even the NHS is beginning to realise how effective these methods can be in some cases. Whether holistic methods have a placebo effect remains to be seen, the fact is they do seem to have an effect in a high percentage of people.
If traditional medicine fails, many people turn to alternative methods of healing. I am sure we would all try it to hang on to our lives if everything else had failed. I know i would try anything to stay alive.

Apparently Jade has agreed that filming continue with her cancer programme. She is prepared for her struggle to continue right up to the end on tv to get the payment secured for her sons' future.
