Then you must have different rap CDs to my son. He's got several with the warning label, but they only say they contain words which are liable to offend. They don't mention which words though. As for this Nas geezer, I've never heard of him, so I can't comment. I'm more into heavy rock and metal, rather than rap with a capital C*. Oh, and some of my rock albums have warning labels too, but the N word isn't said in any of them. * Er, although as part of my mid life crisis, I have just bought Uncle B by N-Dubz.

What are you on about? Yes I've said that they contain a warning label. I didn't say the label has a long list of songs whihc are covered. I state that the N word is one as
a)It's very obvious it is liable to offend b) For the 125th time when 'clean versions' of the songs are released for radio (before the watershed) the N word is always removed and replaced with something else. If as you insist it was seen as a ok they wouldn't do that, would they?
You don't need to have heard of Nas, just pointing out that the fact he is black, and was made to change the title of his album kind of pisses all over your argument.

OK, as I said I know nothing about this Nas geezer, so it's only fair to do some research.
Here are some of the things you can find:-
The album is scheduled for a February 2008 release date. Nas states that he hasn’t faced any opposition from Def Jam over the title of the album, although he says the album will be called Nigger instead of Nigga and will be released on December 11, 2007.
L.A. Reid, chairman of Def Jam Records, has confirmed that Def Jam fully backs Nas and his decision on naming his album. The album’s title has received support from Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, LL Cool J, Rev Run, Common, Akon, Method Man, Lupe Fiasco and others. 50 Cent said Nas is going for "shock value" with the controversial album name
Why did the album become untitled even though Def Jam Records were all in favour of the original title? Here's one explanation:-
Fort Greene, Brooklyn assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries requested New York's Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli to withdraw $84 million from the state pension fund that has been invested into Universal and its parent company, Vivendi, if the album's title was not changed.
Seems money talks louder than principles then.

Because surely if you use it about someone, in full knowledge that that person finds the term offensive/racist whatever, then that's what you're being?naturally. But hypocrites like Fat Andy, for instance, will tell you the word golliwog is offensive per-se. Of course its not, its the name of a doll, just as barbie is. Barbie can also be offensive when used to describe dumb blonds [no doubt another offensive term ]

I'm gonna buy a golliwog just on the back of this publicity. Bollocks to the bedwetters.
I might even buy two.
