Diplomat arrested after ‘anti-Semitic rant’A Foreign Office diplomat has been arrested after allegedly launching an anti-Semitic tirade while exercising in a gym. Middle East expert Rowan Laxton, 47, was alleged to have shouted “ F***ing Israelis, f***ing Jews” as he watched TV reports of the Israeli attack on Gaza. It is alleged he also said Israeli soldiers should be “wiped off the face of the Earth”, in front of other gym users and staff. Police were called and Mr Laxton was arrested for inciting religious hatred through threatening words and behaviour. He was bailed until late next month. Mr Laxton, whose wife is Muslim I'm sure Cobbs told us real Muslim women don't marry non-Muslims, therefore she can't be a Muslim so the entire premise of the thread header is false. |

Pretty scandalous stuff. Even if he's not charged with anything, I don't see how he can keep his job as a diplomat with this attitude. Sack the racist scum.

I reckon if you're deputy ambassador to Afghanistan you need to say this kind of stuff to get anything done. He was probably just being pragmatic.
Anyway, it's outrageous. Who are we to say "Kill all the f**k**g jews" is anti-semitic? Who are we to pass judgement on what qualifies as polite conversation? It's PC Gone Mad, innit?
