Outrage?
Is that because they slit its throat and make it bleed to death whilst still alive?
The poor, suffering pizza.

I think this may be an even more important story than the Tories fiddling with wikipedia.

Pork on pizza from places like Dominoes is always going to be low quality and horrible anyway. Cheap ham is arguably the most disgusting meat known to man.
Other things which for the avoidance of doubt do not belong on pizzas include pineapple or fruit of any kind and fish/shellfish.

Anyone who puts pineapple on pizza should be beheaded on the internet. Or onions.

No no, the pineapple people should be beheaded either on the internet or on top a large pile of onions. Sorry I was unclear.

What's the outrage at anyway? Who should they be making halal pizzas for if not Muslims?

The outrage is because they've stopped making pizza with porky bits on it, depriving the poor oppressed Brit of his traditional British pizza (Eh? Oh) and pandering, yes pandering to the bloody Musslemen.
Can you believe the Brit pizza lover is asked to use another Dominoes a few miles away if they want a pork topping? Fcuking disgraceful!
Personally I refuse to believe that this particular Dominoes have increased their profitability by providing Halal pizza in an area stuffed full of customers who wnat Halal pizza.

Ah, they've banned pork. Well that puts a different slant on it. If this isn't creeping Islamisation I dunno what is, I mean it's just a short hop from a business making a commercial decision based on local consumer wishes to the blanket introduction of Sharia law across the country.

The Domino's branch where you can't get a pepperoni pizza - because they only do halalBy David Wilkes Last updated at 1:35 AM on 12th February 2009 Comments (35) Add to My Stories If you can't do without ham on your Hawaiian and bacon on your barbecue, prepare to be cheesed off. A big-name pizza store has stopped selling pork products after going 100 per cent halal. The Domino's outlet is replacing ham and bacon with products such as halal spicy beef sausage, halal roast and tandoori chicken and halal pepperoni. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1142022/The-Dominos-branch-pepperoni-pizza--halal.html

It's an outrage! I can't get a tandoori pork masala at my local bengali restaurant either. And there's no ham, shrimp and cheese bagels on Friday night at the nice place in Golders Green.

The store in Hall Green, Birmingham, is the chain's first fully halal outlet in Britain, but more are expected to follow. Pizza fan James Savage said he was annoyed he no longer had the choice of eating pork at his local restaurant. And the change also came as a big disappointment to local customer Charles Yates. He rang up the store to order his favourite 'Meateor' variety topped with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, ground beef and smoky bacon - and was told he couldn't have it. Mr Yates, 29, a hospital worker from nearby Moseley, said: 'It's a disgrace, I can appreciate them having it as an option but to have it completely halal is just not on. 'I'm all for racial and religious tolerance but if anything this is intolerant to my beliefs and discriminatory against me. 'I had to travel two miles out of my way to their next nearest branch - I was appalled.' For meat to be considered halal, it must observe certain conditions.
These include that the animal should be killed by having its throat cut by a Muslim and any flowing blood of the carcass should be completely drained. As Muslims are forbidden from eating pork, the hawaiian pizza on the store's menu has halal cured turkey. Domino's says the change has improved business. A spokesman said: 'In that particular area of Birmingham there is a large number of Muslims so there is more of a demand for halal products.' The spokesman confirmed 'a couple' of other locations have been identified where they think halal-only could work. Masood Khawaja, President of the Halal Food Authority, said: 'It's good news for Muslims, with changing palates, who want a bit of variety in their diet. This is only the beginning and we are delighted that Domino's is participating in this trend. 'For those who aren't happy about it I would say to them that the only change to the menu is pork and all the other meat tastes the same.'
