I'm not sure what dental insurance covers omni tbh. I did have Denplan once but it was such a rip-off. My premiums kept going up and up each year and i never had any treatment - that was in the days before i needed crowns. I cancelled Denplan because it was wasted money then.

Sometimes you can get good ones through work. Some trade unions do it too, if you're a member of one? Or there's loads of high street ones - Boots I think do one.
Of course, if they didn't make money out of it they wouldn't bother, so the chances are it'll cost you more than you get out of it. But it's worth it if you need stuff like crowns.

In fairness my £800 did include the fee for knocking me unconscious in order to perform root canal. I guess most people don't need that.
