Poor girl and her poor family too! The only suitable punishment for these monsters is a "lime" bath!

What a totally inadequate sentence. Double would still be too little.
I do hope the Court of Appeal has a much greater grasp of the idea of Justice.

I found this info evenstar looking back through a few news articles about the case ~ Charges against three others were dropped while Steven Bigby, 22, of Upper Edmonton, was stabbed to death in Oxford Street while he was on bail. You were right.

This is what passes for men?
We can only hope that some sense comes through and that sentences relating to the crime and its consequences are passed on these three.

Why don't we just kill them? Any reasons not to?

It is mind boggling, those sentences. Nine years for two counts of rape and one of grevious bodily harm. Nothing about that looks right.

Only reason not to is that killing people is inherently a bad thing. So let's just quadruple the sentences. As a minimum.

What are they? Late teens? They shouldn't be allowed out then until they are no longer a threat. We need to wait until their testosterone levels have plummeted. Let them out when they're in their 70s then if we're not allowed to kill them.

Who is comfortable about the idea that people capable of this are wandering around quite happily secure in the knowledge that the legal system won't actually hang them or even inconvenience them greatly for very long? By order of Brussels and the interpretation of human rights law by money-go-round lawyers.

Fair enuff, I'm not going to quibble about a decade or two, as long as it is a decade or two more, not less. Scum.

I am sure there will be plenty of 'do gooders" along to explain how none of it is their fault and that we should somehow feel sorry for them because of the background etc,
These people are a direct example of why some criminals should be hanged.
As fr the one who was stabbed to death - shame he was the only one.

I can argue the product-of-environment, victims-in-there-own-way routine to Hell and back. I even put in a mitigating word about Baby P's mother. But I can't find any reason not to think these three are just ruthless, vicious swine who did something heinous because they thought they could get away with it. So lock them up for decades, by all means.
