I saw her c 1982 at the Rainbow Finsbury Park backed up by Graham Parker & the Rumour together with Southside Johnny & the Asbury Dukes. She did a greatest hits medley and she was great!!As i recall all the musicians (about 30 in all) enjoyed the show as much as the audience. happy days indeed R.I.P.

They certainly did exude sex appeal.
Their clothes were, even by the standard of the day, very plain yet on them I alwasy thought looked incredable.
They were each strikingly attractive. Veronica's voice stands out as very special.

It's a short old life isn't it? Looking at that video we see them as young girls, singing their hearts out and enjoying their well earned success. Whoever said ..... "Youth is wasted on the young." ..... was so right, because when we're young we have no idea how quickly youth disappears. Then, before we know it, we're drawing our pension. Make the most of every single day .... use it don't abuse it .... and then hopefully you will never look back with regret.

In that year I wore clothes identical to theirs, it was 'the' thing to look smart in - still does!
Danced to that a few times, and others of theirs. Sad loss, 67 isn't that old these days.

You're right sushimo. I do apologise for calling them plain.
Perhaps it's because I'm getting on a bit as well, but I thought then and still think now that they look incredibly sexy.
Madonna, a very talented singer none-the-less, prancing around in a sequined bathing costume, no competition.

Very sad! 67 is young these days to die. She left a great musical legacy though, so she will be fondly remembered always. I love the film footage. I remember my mum wearing clothes like that, and her hair too. Very feminine.

That's OK Tarrant! Actually, we were all so stunningly beautiful back then we had to wear plain clothes to counter it! We all did our hair that way too, the amount of back-combing and laquer was way OTT!

I do recall girls being stunningly beautiful. I also recall wondering why they were suddenly more attractive than the pals I'd been hanging with. I still think girls are stunningly beautiful, but now I admire them rather than wanting them. My feelings are more protective than (sorry, that is definately censored. If I said what I wanted to do to girls back then I might be arrested).
