I suspect the London result has shown us that this government is essentially unelectable. If London’s geographical centre (Camden, Islington, Tower Hamlets etc.) DID turn out whilst the leafy suburbs (Bromley, Kingston, Richmond etc.) did not, then this perhaps means that even these Tory areas sense that the game is up. I doubt ULEZ featured much (if at all) in people’s thinking - rather issues far closer to home to far more people.
Seems the much-vaunted Strength-in-Depth of the Tories has little more depth than my granddaughter’s inflatable paddling pool. Like the Tories though, said pool appears to have a hole in it and has therefore been put away for a long time. I may throw it out for good.

The really compelling thing is that it was the other way round. Tory ID legislation attempted to gerrymander a million central London voters out. Many didn't show up as a result of it being harder for them to vote than the lazy outerborough drivers. Many inner London mulsims and their supporters also didn't vote because Labour is just as crappy as - maybe more crappy than - the Tories on Palestine, even if it's not supposed to be an issue in local elections. The high turnout was in places like Bromley, the lowest in places like Tower Hamlets. And yet, despite, this, Khan won by 10%. Despite having the supposed wedge issue of ULEZ that supposedly everyone in London was melting down about that was going to drive Tory votes in the outer boroughs, Khan won by 10%. If the Tories fail by such margins when most of the votes are coming in the Tory boroughs that are supposedly fully outraged, it means that even the outer boroughs can't handle the thought of the Tories. Kingston and Richmond and Enfield voted for Khan over Hall. The Tory flush is even more busted than you thought.

As per Khan's policy, the murders just kheep on khomin'. "A man has died in a stabbing in a residential street in east London, the Metropolitan Police has said. Officers were called at about 20:20 BST on Sunday to reports of a fight on Corfield Street in Bethnal Green. Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics, the 38-year-old man died at the scene. Formal identification and a post-mortem examination are yet to take place." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-68964791

That you believe in such a thing as a “celebratory stabbing” says a lot about you. And nothing good. Anyway good to see you people seething over Khan’s victory and once again just a reminder - I happily voted for Khan.

The extreme far left seem to enjoy people getting murdered. How queer.

Of course, it feeds the narrative that they've created. That's socialism for you. It wouldn't exist without a sense of victimhood.

Bloody hell. "A woman in her 60s was allegedly stabbed to death by a thief who 'tried to steal her handbag' as she waited for a bus in Burnt Oak this morning - as police arrest a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder. Horrified locals described seeing 'a lot of blood' and hearing 'a lot of shouting' as the attack unfolded in north London at 11.50am today. Jess Bloom, 24, who was working at the hair salon opposite, told MailOnline that the woman was attacked after she tried to resist being robbed. She said: 'It happened at the bus stop and the woman ended up in the middle of the road. 'The guy was trying to get her handbag but she said no and fought back. I saw her pull the handbag twice. He pulled her into the road and stabbed her three times." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13400499/Police-murder-probe-woman-stabbed-Burnt-Oak.html

Poor woman.
That has to be a junkie (the stabber not the victim.)

“ 'When I got to the scene a medium sized brown handbag was still lying on the road near to the victim. The police were taking some interest in it.'
Local resident Fawaz Hussain said: 'I heard a loud scream and saw a man running along the middle of the road.
'There was a woman lying on the road by the bus stop and her handbag was nearby.
'There was blood everywhere. We heard that it was a mugging gone wrong which is very worrying because it was the middle of the day.'
A crazy junkie?

Maybe some conflicting views, which isn't really surprising.
'Then I heard the woman say: "Help me, help me." It was in a high-pitched voice.
'People started shouting: 'Stop! Stop!' at the boys. They ran away.
