Can anyone suggest a cheap decent laptop to purchase.
I already have a desktop downstairs with printer. But just need a laptop for getting on Twitter and stuff like that upstairs in the evenings. I had an Acer but it has just blown up. Many thanks.

If a Netbook will suffice then this HP is very good for the price, especially as it comes with Win 7 Starter. I personally would go for something with 2GB of RAM and a bigger screen, but since you said cheap... |

If a proper laptop is required then this Toshiba ticks the boxes, comes in at under £300, and has Win 7 Premium. |

Oh and flog your blown laptop. I got £110 for a stuffed Toshiba on eBay.
There is a good market for laptop parts.

I now have my HP laptop. I have been trying to get online upstairs, but not had any luck yet. I use AOL, have put the AOL disc in, it restarts but is still not online.
I cannot see AOL listed amongst the stations at the bottom right hand side of the computer.
