If by 'Return to general' you mean 'return to the previous page' (depending on which section you're reading), we already have one - it's at the top of each thread - or just use the 'back' button.
To save scrolling up and down long pages just use the 'Home' or 'End' keys on your keyboard.

Couple of oddball suggestions for members' ranks, firstly, using wedding anniversary theme:
1. Paper (newby)
2. Crystal (junior)
3. Silver
4. Gold
5. Diamond
Or, using the cosmos as reference point:
1. Grain of sand - newby
2. Beach - junior
3. Planet
4. Universe
5. Galaxy
