This is NG in the last 24 hours - look at the number of guests?? Who are you, why don't you come and join us??

I was just wondering... Could it be that members first sign in as guests and then decide to sign in if they want to make a contribution. It would explain the large number of guests if you know what I mean? I always do it that way. Just a thought.

I've just noticed that I appear as 'Offline' even when I'm reading the threads. (Must go and modify my profile)

Dru.
It seems you can choose to appear as 'Offline' even when signed in and replying to threads.
I'd inadvertantly ticked this box in my profile and was confused to see that I was offline when I obviously wasn't.
Still, it's sorted now.

Its much easier to stay signed in 'forever' - I couldn't be bothered with signing in everywhere I go on the net, it would take up half my week. ;D

Chris, Here is the advice from Lynnrose at CIT that she gave me but have not been able to do it yet. You could click on Start, then Search. Click All Files and Folders Type in the word cookie When it has found them, scroll down to the one that ends in proboards Click on it, then click the Edit tab, choose Invert Selection. All cookies will be highlighted apart from the proboards one. Click File tab and choose Delete. All cookies will be deleted apart from Proboards.
Let me know if you are happy with that, as you will have to make that your new routine for cookie deletion each time.

Hmm, two points...
1. Isn't that far more of a hassle than just signing in again?
2. Chances are you may have other sites you wish to remain signed in to, or just cookies you need to keep (they do serve a function after all).

Seems it must be difficult to recruit new members on this setup. Is their a place where people can browse various proboard sites as we did on the MSN boards ? How are new people to find us ? And old people like Flea and Nemesis , Jade etc ?

And old people like Flea and Nemesis , Jade etc ? OMG! Lawrence, where are you at! I would love to see Nemy here - more than anyone! I think Flea was with Puffin in her site, and as for Jade, no idea where her Royal Exellency is these days. This doesn't have the same system as MSN did, which is why we tried 'other' avenues - even Google, but we are having problems with the board content. I do feel, as some have said, that a strict clean up is needed tbh.

Yep, it must be all of that Joyce - and some! I don't come on board as often as I used to, like you, I have a life off the PC these days.
Would love to know what happened to a lot of the 'old' crowd though - the good, the bad and even the downright evil! LOL Some of the wars got very heavy, and left some covered in blood and bruises - but for all that, I wouldn't have missed any of it. At the time it was the distraction I needed away fom reality.
Getting anoyed that some I liked in here are now vanishing into the ether - maybe this board will last out - maybe not!
