People who move threads have a control problem as in they want to control. I knew something would happen when I came here. First post. You're very welcome here Obstreperousozzi. I'm sorry if you find it 'controlling' when we move a thread to its proper place. All we're doing is a little house keeping .... we don't move stuff around just for something to do.

I think one of obstreporous' phobias must be a fear of moving threads .Personally ,I just have a thing about heights so if you could be careful not to shift threads to the top shelf I'd be highly ( giggle ) grateful

Sorry if i seemed a bit irritable, ozzie, it's not been a good day.
A good way of deciding if a thread can go on the news board is if you read it in a News source online, it's current and you can provide a link to the article you read.
If you are seeking other people's opinions and ideas about something not currently being reported in the media then it goes in Chat. Not that threads don't sometimes evolve into something different when they get diverted, but that's pretty normal.
Enjoy...if that's the right term for a message board... you'll soon get used to it.

Your other boards have bugger all posts on them. Waste of space.
Breaking down on the top of a bridge. I have done that on the biggest bridge here but luckily got the thing started. Breaking down in my car full stop.

My thread was started because of a news article about a woman with a phobia. That's news isn't it. Chit Chat is boring and it always ends up on the News board anyway. Go into a thread and it is full of chit chat.

If your thread was a news article you should have posted the news link to it on the thread. We Mods don't read everything that's in the news - nor all the threads in here. We just look for anomalies and alter/move/change when we spot something is incorrect. This thread was, so was correctly moved.

My posts have been picked over like they have nits. Control freaks. (Has no one got any phobies?)

Puffin phobias are always current.
Heights I hate the Batman ad when he jumps off the high building.
I have loads of dreams where I fall off cliffs, etc.
Only one drop a week is a good week for me.

Has anybody else had a flying dream..? I've only had two, 1st was years ago - but the 2nd one was very recent, not exactly flying but gliding around, it was so exhilarating. It was the best feeling swooping around hope I don't have to wait years for the 3rd go
