and another...when does a hill become a mountain? A pond become a lake? and a boat become a ship? ans: 600 mtrs, unless the hill changes the horizon in which case, for example, an hill of 300 mtrs in Holland would be classed as a mountain ans2: a pond becomes a lake when it is over two mtrs deep and covers the area of a hectare ans3) a boat can fit on a ship.

In the Royal Navy submarine is known as a 'Boat' (and you couldn't hoist one of them on deck)

could on a tanker but i know because apparently Boat is a general term for any sea going vessel. but you cant fit a ship on a boat can ya?

well yeah, you can fit a ship on a boat if, as you said, a boat is a general term that can be applied to any sea going vessel :-P
